Year 3 and 4 have an exciting day ahead as we have an explorer day planned! The children are currently planning what would be needed for an expedition, the first of many exciting activities planned for the day. We look forward to sharing more photos later in the day.
Children in Willow have had a brilliant party afternoon, including doing the mannequin challenge. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them so still!
Wow!! The children have worked very hard this afternoon and created some amazing pictures using pastels and lots of shapes. Well done Willow 🙂
The children are currently working very hard creating their own versions of ‘The Kiss’ by Gustav Klimt. We will post some of them when they are finished 🙂
Wow! Look at the size of our plants after just two weeks! The children are bringing these home today as they are outgrowing our classroom and they can be grown properly at home. The children have been set the challenge of seeing who can bring beans in when they are fully grown. I look forward to seeing these. Well done Willow 🙂
We have had a lovely visit from a Buddhist today to start our Buddhism week. We got to light some incense sticks and learn about why they are used. We also got to see what happens in a shrine and look at a range of symbols linked to Buddhism such as a Rupa statue. This was a brilliant experience that the children really enjoyed.
Everybody looked amazing today dressed as their favourite superhero! We have raised a fantastic amount to go towards Key 103’s Cash For Kids charity. Well done to school council for organising this and counting the money 🙂
KS2 were very lucky this morning as they had a visit from a brass band named 5tet. They played a range of music from the circus and the children learnt about some elements of music and what they mean. This was a fantastic experience for the children and they really enjoyed it 🙂
